My Lana Del Ray inspired look :-)

Hey lovelies,

Hope you are all well?

If you haven't heard of Lana Del Ray you must have been living under a rock....Yep shes the new "next big thing", and to top off the mountains of talent she is also gorgeous and has a fabulous style!

So I thought I would have a go at creating my first inspired look, bare in mind she looks nowt like me!! lol

So here it is;

This is the beauty herself.

My ugly mug lol

For this look I used Illamasqua light liquid foundation in LF120, buffed onto the skin with the real techniques buffing brush. I then took the real techniques contour brush and applied the body shop bronzing pearls to the contour of my cheeks. I then took a small blush brush and applied MAC pinch me to my cheeks, I took a fan brush and applied the lightest section of avon's light and luminous, cool shimmers palette for a highlight, i also applied this down my nose and on my cupids bow. Then I took the MUA heaven and earth palette and took the third colour in on the bottom row and placed this on my lids, I took the second colour from the top row & blended that into the area just above my crease, putting the majority of the colour on the outer eye and blending it in towards the nose. I then took the very last colour in the palette and blended that into my crease to add contour and depth. I then took the ELF cream eyeliner in black and my new fave eyeliner brush, its the IB132 stiff brow brush from crown and I made a very thick cat eye styled flick, I then applied the cream liner to my upper water line & about three quarters of the way in on my bottom water line. I curled my lashes added Loreal volume million lashes mascara and some huuuuuuuuuge lashes from superdrug's new lash range, they are the double volume edition 40.

A close up of the eye.

Then I moved onto the lips! Lana has stunning lips, mine are a bit wonky! lol anyway for the lips I put my MAC studio fix foundation over them to blank out my natural pigment. I then took my nyx auto pencil in hot fudge and drew on my lip line, then i blended that in to lighten in. I then took my sleek pout paint in milkshake, i put the tinniest dot on the back of my hand and blended it in with a nude pink lipgloss, i added this very lightly with my finger, patting it on, the purpose of this is not really to add colour but to slightly warm up the colour already on my lips.

A close up of my wonky lips lol.

I hope you like my first inspired look? let me know if you would like me to do more of these? and if so any suggestions??

EOTD - Dramatic!!

Hey Lovely people!!

Today I decided to have a play with my gooooorgeous Sleek Caribbean palette!

Excuse the dodgy circles! These are the colours I used.

I only did my eyes so I primed the area and put some ELF shimmering facial whip on my eyes as a base, I then used the white/ creamy colour on my lids. I then put the black just above the crease & I blended that in with the red & I blended away the harsh lines with ELF's eye transformer the very end colour. I then added some more black & again blended it in with the red. I then took a slanted brush & put the red under my eyes, I then did the same with the black. Then I used ELF cream eye liner in black to line my top lashes & on my bottom water line. I then used superdrug double lashes & ELFs regular line mascara. Then I got some red rhinestones, put a blob of lash glue on & stuck them in place with tweezers.

I Hope you like my eye of the day? Would you ever wear a dramatic look like this? if so what occasion?

ELF HAUL TIME!!!! Yippeee

Hey Guys,

I'm soooooo excited!! Last week ELF eyeslipsface.co.uk had one of their amazing 50% off sales!! So of course I took full advantage of this!

 I got theeeeese.......

A Kabuki brush which cost me £2.50!!
Daily brush cleaner £1.75
Mineral infused primer £3.00
Concealer pencil & brush £1.75
Corrective concealer £1.75
Flawless finish foundation in sand £3.25
Studio Matte Lip colour in coral £1.75
studio conditioning lip balm spf15 in mellow Mellon £1.75
Eye transformer £1.75
Shimmer eye pencils in boldly bronzed, grassy green and plum passion for 75p each!
lipstick in natural nymph £1.75
professional 9 pc master set of brushes for £7.50
and a get the look set in glitz and glam (of course!) for £3.75

First thing I will mention is the things I wasn't so keen on. The lipstick in natural nymph has taught me that nude colours do NOT suit me!! The lipstick is pretty & creamy but not at all my colour.
See how light it is, its pretty much my skin colour!

The next thing I'm not so keen on is the corrective concealer. Its just a bit thick and not all that creamy & the 2 skin tones are very similar on the skin, the dark should be darker in my opinion! Also I have no idea what the pink colour is for! Here's the swatches (which were difficult to get as they are quite waxy)
Not very easy to see sorry! light colour, green, pink and a strip along the bottom is the darker colour :-/

The other thing I'm disappointed in, really sadly is the matte lip colour! I adore my other one in tea rose but this one seems much more drying on my lips and the colour isn't as bright as i had thought it would be.

And the last thing is the eye transformer! Ok I will admit, I'm not really sure what these are meant to do! I thought they might be eye primers but they are just like very pale eye shadows! I think they would make nice highlight colours but I haven't had chance to use them yet. Once I find out exactly what I am meant to do with these I might love them.....so watch this space!

Now on to the items I LOVEEEE!!

Firstly, this item I have seen so many mixed reviews on! Some love it, some hate it! I love it!! IT is the studio flawless finish foundation. The colour sand matches my skin amazingly well, the thick consistency gives a really good coverage, it blends sooooo well!!! It is a bit oily but its not oily as in greasy and I have massively oily skin but it sits very nicely on my skin and I have worn it all day and it has lasted well although I am a bit on the shinny side. I might try it tomorrow with MAC oil control lotion and see if that's any better.
Excuse my nails, they need re-doing!! how nars'esque is the packaging?

yummy!!

Pretttty! no not my hand lol

This item was my OHHHHHHHEMMMMMGEEEEE item! the pro 9 piece brush master set! WOW is fab!! the brush holder/case is soooo nice and looks really professional and sleek! and the brushes are amazing! They have white handles rather than the usual studio black (i prefer the black to be honest) I got a powder brush, a tapered blush brush (perfect size for me!), a foundation brush (which is sooo good!!), an eyebrow/eye lash brush, Eyeliner brush, a tapered shadow brush (again amazing!!), eyeshadow brush (sooo good for packing on eye shadow to the lid & perfect size for smaller lids like mine!), a smudger brush and a lip liner brush! What can I say? I bloody love everything about this set!

Looks soooo much nicer in real life!

Next up is my get the look set! This very nearly ended up on my not keen list! I took it out the box and was like "oh!"  It came with a not very nice packaged eye shadow & the colours are pink and dark grey :-/, a black and glitter mascara, a clear, glittery liquid liner and a supper glossy gloss! My first thought was pink and grey together?? BUT I put them on today and they look lovely!! they mascara is better than I thought too and the gloss is very sticky but its a lovely colour! My only let down is the liner, its not very glittery, you can hardly see it when its on. But all in all for £3.75 I am vv happy with the set!

the pink is lovely!

the mascara

Sorry not a great pic! but this is the gloss!

Ok next up, the shimmer eye liners! I love them! they are so so pretty! highly pigmented and soft and creamy to apply!

Next is the conditioning lip balm! When you think of lip balm you think of a sheer stick, well this lovely balm is neither! Its highly pigmented and in a rather large, lovely packaged pot! Its really soft and silky and I love the colour!!
How pigmented?

Look how big it is?

The daily brush cleaner, does exactly what it says on the tin, or bottle! Its a great size and perfect for cleaning brushes quickly in between uses.

Mineral infused primer, this in my opinion is as good as any of the mega expensive primers! its a nice consistency, sits nice on the skin and helps foundation to sit nicer too.

Studio kabuki brush. I brought the kabuki brush from the regular line and I hated it! It was so sharp it made my skin sore so I never used it again! But wow, the studio one is soooo much better!! Its really soft and feels lovely on the skin.
Cute!

And lastly the concealer pencil and brush, I have only used this so far on my water line & it looked nice, I will try it as a concealer and let you know what I think of it.

This colour is light.

So there you go there's my haul review, hope you like it! Have you tried any ELF products? what do YOU love & hate??

ELF's £1.50 Mascara!!

Last one from me for tonight :-)

I just wanted to do a really quick review on ELF's mascara as when I first brought it, I used it on my mom (who has extremely short and stumpy lashes!) and I hated it, it wasn't very easy to apply & looked clumpy!! So Ive not bothered using it since......until last night!! anddddd I bloomin loved it! It made my lashes look really long and  not clumpy or anything.

This is the product;
One end is waterproof and the other is regular! So far I haven't had chance to try the waterproof as yet but the regular is soooo GOOD!!!

And here is my lashes!!!

are you ready??

Again excuse the brows, im growing out an over plucking incident lol, But look at those lashes!

Have you tried any of elf's mascaras? If so what do you think of them?

EOTN........DRAMA!

Hey lovelies!!

I was feeling inspired last night after watching at least a million make up tutorials on you tube! So I decided to do an eye of the day (well night as it was night time & I think its much more of a night look).

Here it is.

PLEASE EXCUSE MY EYEBROWS!!! I'm growing them out as i over plucked last time :-/

For this Dramatic look I used all MUA eyeshadows. I primed my eye with an ELF eye shadow primer, then i did a rough line on  my top lashes with a black pencil & smudged it out. Then I packed shade 14 on to my lids and up onto my crease, I then blended like mad & added the gorgeous purple shade 9 and blended that into the black. I then lined under my eyes using my MAC 219 brush and the black colour, I then mixed in the purple colour. I then put  shade 2 under my brow & blended it into the purple. On my lashes I used ELF's £1.50 mascara which I will do a review on next!!

So what do you think? what colours do you like for a really dramatic look?

NUDE!!!

Hey Lovely lot!

Did the title catch your interest?? lol

Sorry to disappoint but this post is about nude make up looks!! ;-)

My Elf order came last week & in it was my, much anticipated, matte lip colour. I ordered tea rose and I loooove it! its a lovely colour and lasts for ages! So inspired by this I have done a couple of nude eye looks, here is the first.

Nude with a pop of colour :-)

For this look I used the MUA heaven and earth palette, elf cream eye liner and nyx aqua coloured liner on my lash line. I really liked this look, what do you guys think?

Then next I thought I would try a sexy smokey eye, with my new MUA starry night palette.

I wasn't sure I would really like this palette as I'm not mad keen on greys and this palette has a lot! BUT god I love it, the colours are sooooo pretty!! I am going to enjoy creating different looks with these and  actually think its more versatile than the heaven and earth palette!!

And here is the first look in full with my gorgeous matte lips!

What colours or looks are you loving right now? are there any looks you would like me to attempt to create for you?

Estee Lauder!!

Hola,

I have been on a hunt for an amaaaaaazing mascara! and on that hunt I came across Estee Lauders lash primer and it id FAB!!! I used it with my mega cheap but mega great MUA extreme curl mascara & my lashes were amaaaaazing! they looked thicker and longer! Here is a piccy:

The lipstick and lipgloss are so pretty they have fast become my go to lip products!
My little shopping spree inspired me to do a light, natural look, here are some piccys:

For this look I used No7 primer, ELF tinted moisturiser, MUA bronzing Mosaic, Sleek contour kit highlighter, MUA professional eye trio in innocence, Estee lauder lash primer, MUA extreme curl mascara, ELF eyebrow kit in ash and the estee lauder lipstick and gloss.

Hope you like?

Looks!!!

Me again :-)

I have been playing with my elf make up tonight and wanted to share the looks with you!

First of all I put my tone corrector on my blemishes and under my eyes (not great cover for blemishes), Then I put my mineral foundation on with my (rather sharp) kabuki brush :-\. On top of that I put some blusher & my shimmering facial whip, I also put the shimmering whip under my brows. I then took my beauty encylcopedia palette and put the silver cream shadow on my lids, on the first third of my eye i put the silver shadow, then the bronzy gold colour, then in the crease I put the aqua green and blended it all in. I then put black eye liner pencil on my water line and I used a damp brush to put the silver black eye shadow as an eye liner above my lashes & on my lower lash line, I blended a deeper green in with the black at the bottom and put on my mascara. I then used my lip palette & the nude colour on my lips.
Here are a few pictures, hope you like them...
Hate having my photo taken! lol

 Ohhh long lashes!!

Sparkly!!

Next I went for a brighter, less sparkly look! I got a moss green out of the brights palette, added that to half of my eye lid, i then took a brighter green and packed it onto the other half. I took a briiiiight green and put that into my crease & blended. I then put a bright blue right into my crease. I added a bit of eye liner put some green under my bottom lashes and then some mascara.
More piccys!!...

excuse my spot! ouch its sore!!

And lastly, I put on my lip stain & I love it, so thought I would share!

First date, without gloss!

 With gloss!

So what do you think of the looks I have tried? oh and excuse my hair, its wet :-p
